Finding calm in the chaos

A midsummer retreat designed to help you find calm in the chaos of modern day life. The summer holidays can be very overwhelming for mothers juggling childcare, work and so much more. It's wedding season and that comes with it's own stresses and can also be quite overwhelming. This retreat will be a mixture of slow, calm and reflection with a sound healing gong bath to help with fatigue

The Venue

Gambledown farm is set in 250 acres of beautiful Hampshire farmland. The yoga barn is a beautiful and light room that will be just wonderful to relax and reconnect in.

The Day

Meditation

I will start the day with a guided meditation. Mixing music, visualisations and breathing exercises I aim to help you feel calmer and more connected to yourself.

Walking meditation

Gambledown farm is a 270 acre working sustainable farm. For those who want to we will head out on a nature walk and will do both a free walk giving you a chance to chat and connect with the other women. 

I will also run part of it as a silent walking meditation which is perfect for someone who finds it difficult to sit still and meditate. Thich Nhat Hanh says we should walk like we are the happiest person in the world, setting no goals or destination. Making steps as if you are printing peace, serenity and happiness with each step.

Mindful Craft Workshop

We will be celebrating the summer with mixed media flower art. I will show you how to use both dried and fresh flowers to create lanterns, prints and cards.

Sound healing

Back by popular demand is Kaira Sound Therapy who will be offering us an hour long restorative gong bath. Helping you to relieve stress and fatigue by balancing the nervous system.

 

Sound healing is a unique and immersive experience that can leave you feeling both relaxed and restored. It often sends me to into a beautiful peaceful sleep, waking feeling lighter. People often report it helps with physical and/or mental pain.

Food & drinks

Start the day with coffee, tea, fruit and healthy snacks.  Organic herbal tea is also available throughout the day. Lunch will be a beautiful mixture fresh food including salads, fresh bread with dips, olives, roasted vegatables and will include local produce.  All dietary requirements/allergies will be catered for.
