An intimate retreat with a maximum of 12 mothers. We will be focusing on the journey of motherhood and spending time in nature.

Damson Hill cottage is absolutely stunning, completely unique and feels so private. Just look at the photos. It also has a beautiful and unique selection of glamping options so there is the option to turn this retreat into a residential and stay the night before. The Venue
Damson Hill Cottage is tucked away on the edge of the South Downs, near the Hampshire village of Swanmore, Damson Hill combines steep slopes, glorious views, wonderful dappled woodland. With secret shady glades, sun baked decks, grassed areas and plenty of sky, it’s the perfect spot to retreat to.
The Day

Meditation & Mindfulness
I will start the day with a guided meditation. Mixing music, visualisations and breathing exercises I aim to help you feel calmer and more connected to yourself. We will also explore some mindfulness techniques that you can take away and use in your everyday life.

Yoga
A yoga class just for mothers amongst the trees on the beautiful hidden deck, doesn't that sound idylic. As mothers, we often put the needs of our families before our own, but in this sacred hour, the focus is solely on you. Embrace the opportunity to release tension, soothe tired muscles, and cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness. Take this precious time for yourself and experience the transformative power of Yoga Class for Mothers. Namaste.

Forest bathing
Surrounded by glorious trees we will spend as much time outside as possible and this includes a walk and a forest bathing session. Shinrin-yoku originated from ancient Japanese traditions, this mindful practice invites you to slow down, unplug, and reconnect with the healing energy of the forest.

Thread journal workshop
Thread journals are a unique way to keep a creative diary of the year. We will start our thread journal using simple stitches you can take away to continue. Or you can create a peice of embroideried art to take home and proudly display.

The motherhood journey workshop
Matrescence is a term that describes the profound transformation you go through when you become a mother. During matrescence, a mother experiences a series of physical, emotional, and psychological changes as they adapts to their new role. These changes are not limited to pregnancy and childbirth but continue throughout the early stages of motherhood, and in some ways, they can last a lifetime. We will be learning more about this, exploring and sharing our own journeys.

Food & drinks
Start the day with fresh coffee/tea & a selection of bliss balls. There will be a hot water urn & selection of organic herbal tea as well as water available all day. Lunch will be both healthy & hearty. There will be fruit & treats available throughout the day. All dietary requirements/allergies will be catered for.
